Youssef El Fahim

An engineer with 6 years of eMobility experience, I am the technical focal point for the charging ecosystem at Daimler Buses France. I combine systems expertise, project delivery and customer relations, from pre-sales to operational support. I coordinate teams and develop AI use cases to improve workflows.

DAIMLER BUSES FRANCE

April 2024 — present · Permanent role · Île-de-France

E-Mobility Technical Expert

Charging focal point · Project delivery · Customer support

  • Lead charging expertise : vehicle, CCS / pantograph, EVSE and CSMS; ISO 15118, OCPP 1.6 and VDV 261.
  • Lead complex projects : frame requirements, prioritise and coordinate engineering, IT, suppliers, workshops and customers through field validation.
  • Support customers before and after sales : technical advice, charging architecture, tenders, clear diagnostic explanations and action follow-up.
  • Drive incident resolution : structure root-cause analysis, correlate logs, CAN and Grafana / KQL, then verify corrective actions with partners.
  • Deploy connected services : preconditioning, OMNIplus ON, configuration and user support.
  • Design tools for field teams : translate needs into features, define business rules, test and iterate with users.
  • Train colleagues and develop AI use cases : charging knowledge transfer, summarisation, documentation and task automation to save time.

STELLANTIS

2020 — 2023 · Apprenticeship · Carrières-sous-Poissy

EV Charging Solutions &
Ecosystem Engineer

Smart Grid · V2G · Energy flexibility

  • Analyse energy markets : frequency reserve, balancing, capacity and demand response; translate requirements into fleet constraints.
  • Model in MATLAB / Simulink a fleet as a distributed battery: aggregate SoC and control charging and discharging power.
  • Compare V2G / V2X scenarios by availability, power, losses and economic value; present project recommendations.

DTU · ELECTRIC VEHICLE LAB

April — September 2022 · Internship · Copenhagen

Testing & Validation

  • Validate dynamic EVSE limits in the lab: vary power setpoints and observe charger–vehicle response using a protocol based on IEC 61851-1.
  • Run bidirectional V2G tests on Nissan Leaf / CHAdeMO; measure power, energy, losses and cycle repeatability.
FLEET DATA / REACT · FASTAPI

eCitaro Fleet App

React / FastAPI design and development to centralise charging, SoC / SOH and preconditioning. An entrepreneurial approach, from business requirements to user testing, to prioritise field actions.

CHARGING DIAGNOSTICS / OCPP 1.6

SAVOCPP

OCPP 1.6 diagnostic tool design : sessions, errors and consistency rules. Turn logs into technical evidence to support supplier discussions and structured resolution.
